Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Find Dialog Box

Use this dialog box to search for text in a selected column of a grid.

Field Description
Find what Use this field to enter the text for which you are searching.
Within This field displays the name of the selected column in which to perform the search.
Match case Select this option to limit the search so that it only locates text that matches the upper and lowercase characters you enter.
Match entire cell contents Select this option if you want to match the text you entered exactly. This option is useful if you know precisely what you want to find and want to find it quickly.
